Prizes

The best entry of each participating school wins a 1^st prize. All 1^st prize winners will receive funding to participate in an international youth camp on Spitsbergen (Svalbard), which will take place from July 16^th to July 21^st, 2007. The programme of this camp has not been fully finalized as yet, but it will in the form of lectures and excursions deal with the general topics of global warming and its regional impact on Spitsbergen (Svalbard).

It is hoped that the participants of this international youth camp will return to their schools as experts on and "ambassadors" to the endangered Arctic.

The 1^st prize includes a return flight to spitsbergen, meals and accommodation on Spitsbergen, as well as the costs for excursions and tours. The participants will, however, not be provided with pocket money and must provide themselves with the necessary clothing (tourist standard).

The participants with the second best entries at each school will be invited on a sailing trip aboard the "Dagmar Aaen". The date of this has not yet been set. Regarding transport and necessary clothing, the same conditions as for the youth camp apply.

The prizes cannot be transferred to another person and cannot be offset with anything else or paid out. If a winner steps back, the next best winner in line will take his or her place.
