Tropical nights
It is these days and nights that burn themselves into memory: At the changing of the watch at midnight, an orange streak of light still shines in the northern night sky.
The sun almost never leaves us at this season - and if it does, only for a few hours. At the same time, a blood-red moon rises in the east - it seems almost cheesy.
During the day, Alex takes advantage of the calm weather to brief the crew on emergency medical care. Lukas and Vera tar the entire rig in the last port on Bornholm to preserve the wires. Julia works with the CTD probe as well as the Secchi disk and forwards the data to the institutes. There is always something to do.
In the evening in the idyllic old harbor of Helsingör we have a barbecue and Lukas plays virtuosic on the guitar. So it can go on.
