Tobermory – Port Ellen

One can hardly wish for a more varied area than the Hebrides.

The tidal difference between low and high tide is sometimes over 5 meters, resulting in enormous current eddies such as the notorious Corryvreckan, which we pass in the immediate vicinity at almost 12 knots. We pass picturesque villages like Stornoway or Tobermory. Then it's "all hands" sail again, off to the next destination. On the way we continue to collect extensive data for the science. I will report about this separately.
