Into the Atlantic Ocean to Rona Island
It goes out into the Atlantic to an uninhabited island of the Outer Hebrides - North Rona.
The extremely remote island was inhabited at times even by about 30 people. The remains of the house ruins can still be found today. Supposedly, in 1695, a ship stranding caused rats to arrive on the island and subsequently multiply so rapidly that they ate the islanders' meager food, leading to a tragic famine. Later attempts at colonization also ended in disaster.
Today the island is uninhabited and only rarely does anyone stray there. A lighthouse stands on the highest point of the island, whose steep coast is flanked by deeply cut caves.
A natural paradise full of puffins and seals.
